Care Built Around You—Not Just the Accident
Two people can be involved in similar accidents and have very different symptoms and recovery needs.
That's why your care starts with a thorough evaluation rather than a predetermined treatment plan.
Depending on your presentation, we may assess:
-
Orthopedic and neurological function
-
Neck and back movement
-
Strength and movement capacity
-
Nerve-related symptoms
-
Balance or coordination when relevant
-
Your ability to work, train, and perform everyday activities
If your examination suggests that imaging, medical evaluation, or another healthcare professional is appropriate, we'll help guide that next step
More Than Adjustments
Auto accident care at Apex isn't built around receiving the same passive treatment several times per week.
Your plan may combine:
-
Progressive exercise rehabilitation
-
Strength and conditioning
-
Movement and mobility work
-
Activity modifications
-
Neurodynamic approaches when appropriate
-
Hands-on treatment
-
Chiropractic manipulation when indicated
-
Education and strategies you can use outside the clinic
Hands-on care can be useful, especially early in recovery, but our larger goal is to help you build capacity and become less dependent on treatment over time.
From Recovery Back to Real Life
Feeling better is important. But recovery also means being able to do the things your life requires.
That might mean:
Working a full day.
Getting back in the gym.
Running or riding again.
Picking up your kids.
Returning to the mountains.
Or simply driving without worrying about how your body will feel afterward.
As symptoms improve, your rehab should progress with you.
We gradually increase movement, strength, loading, and activity so there's a bridge between “I'm feeling better” and “I trust my body again.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need X-rays after a car accident?
Not everyone involved in an auto accident automatically needs imaging. Your history, symptoms, and examination help determine whether imaging or additional medical evaluation may be appropriate. If we identify a reason for further evaluation, we'll discuss that with you and refer when necessary.
Do you only perform chiropractic adjustments?
No. Apex is a rehab-focused chiropractic and sports medicine clinic. Care may include exercise rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, movement assessment, education, activity modification, and hands-on treatment. Manipulation is one available tool—not the entire treatment plan.
When should I schedule after an accident?
If you're experiencing new pain, stiffness, movement limitations, or other musculoskeletal symptoms following an accident, an evaluation can help determine what may be appropriate for you. Urgent or concerning symptoms may require emergency or medical evaluation first.
Can I keep exercising while recovering?
Often, some level of activity can continue, but it depends on your symptoms and examination. When appropriate, we prefer to modify before removing activity and progressively build back toward your normal training and lifestyle.
Ready to Move Forward?
An auto accident may have interrupted your routine. It doesn't have to define what your body can do next.
We'll start with where you are today, determine what you can safely keep doing, and build from there.
